This plant is situated on the outskirts of Leon, Spain, a city 300-km northwest of Madrid.
The interior of the plant covers an area of 120,000 sq. meters with an additional 60,000 sq. meters outside the plant.
The exterior has been used for wastewater treatment plants and an incinerator for the disposal of biological sludge, solvents and mycelium (biomass from the fermentation process).
The activities of the plant are centred on the production, through chemical and enzymatic fermentation processes.
